Clinical Psychologist in Salisbury, MD Responsibilities

Start with the questions assigned for the evaluation. Review relevant medical and behavioral health records, including service treatment information when provided, and identify the history that needs to be explored during the appointment. Use the available records to prepare for a focused interview and an organized assessment.

Conduct the in-person behavioral health evaluation, obtaining relevant clinical and psychosocial history. Assess the symptoms, functioning and psychological factors relevant to the examination. Give the Veteran an opportunity to describe the concerns being evaluated while keeping the discussion focused on the purpose of the visit.

Document the findings clearly in the required electronic records, forms and reports. Distinguish information reported during the interview from information in the records and findings obtained during the assessment. Complete the required evaluation documentation within the assignment’s timelines and review the written material for accuracy, completeness and consistency.

Keep the report organized around the evaluation being performed. Use precise clinical language so another reviewer can follow the relevant history, assessment findings and information supporting the completed record.

Qualifications

Required

• Clinical psychologist certification.
