Medical Assistant in Yuma, AZ Responsibilities

Support appointment communication and the flow of information through the office. The comparable client medical assistant role includes answering calls, confirming appointments, communicating schedule changes and helping keep visit documents organized. Handle these tasks with attention to accuracy and the privacy of the people being served.

Assist with the everyday administrative work that supports examination visits, including organizing files, preparing paperwork and communicating office needs to the team. Maintain an orderly work area and help keep routine tasks moving. Clear communication between reception and the examination team supports a consistent experience throughout the visit.

Help organize the arrival process for Veteran examination visits. Support check-in, review the information needed for the visit and communicate arrivals to the appropriate team member. Keep reception activity orderly so Veterans know where to go and the examination team can follow the day’s appointments.
