Travel Psychologist — this role supports the Veteran disability examination process through focused assessment and documentation. This opening is for a psychologist.

This position is with Mobile - Optum Serve. The examination and its written record are closely connected: the information gathered during the assessment needs to be communicated clearly for the review that follows.

Position Details

• Schedule classification: Full Time.
• Travel assignment with availability of two or more weeks per month.

Travel Psychologist Responsibilities

Review the records supplied for the behavioral health evaluation and organize the relevant clinical history before completing the assessment. Consider the Veteran’s account alongside the available records, making clear in the documentation which information comes from the interview and which comes from the material reviewed.

Complete the assigned behavioral health assessment with a focused, professional interview. Document the history, symptoms and functional information relevant to the evaluation. The examination is part of a disability evaluation workflow; its purpose is assessment and reporting rather than an ongoing therapy or medication-management relationship.

Prepare an organized written account of the evaluation, including the clinical observations and findings that support the assessment. Review the completed documentation for clarity and internal consistency. Keep the report centered on the assigned examination and communicate the information in a way that supports subsequent review.

Compensation

$600–$650 per day.

Required

• Psychology license.

Travel Coverage

$75 per day travel stipend.
