Frontera is seeking a Family Medicine NP/PA in Central California for a full-time outpatient locum tenens float assignment. This opportunity is suited to a certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with recent experience delivering primary care in a higher-volume clinic. Compensation is $90–$100 per hour. The assignment is planned for three months or longer, with opportunities to extend.

The practice serves patients across the lifespan, from newborns through older adults. The patient population includes underserved families and primarily Spanish-speaking farm-working communities. The clinical focus is everyday family medicine in a multispecialty outpatient setting, supported by an established electronic medical record and a supervising physician provided by the practice.

This full-time float role provides coverage across two outpatient clinics in the same region. Providers should be available to work across the assigned clinic locations as part of the coverage arrangement. Clinical Responsibilities

Provide routine family medicine care within your professional scope. The role combines assessment and management of common outpatient concerns with minor office-based procedures. The position includes suturing and incision and drainage as part of the procedural work involved. Providers should bring relevant experience caring for patients of different ages in a busy primary care environment.

Practice Environment

The expected patient volume is approximately 20–24 patients during an eight-hour day or 25–27 during a nine-hour day. The practice uses eClinicalWorks, also known as eCW. Physician supervision is arranged through a physician already on staff, so the provider is not being asked to locate a separate supervising physician for the assignment. The position is based in the clinic and involves direct, in-person patient care.

Qualifications

Required

• FNP-C or PA-C credentials appropriate to the role.
• California licensure for the assigned profession.
